Anti-Racist STEM: Physics

Resource guide. By Saket Malhotra and Dora Guo. In collaboration with Erica Watson.

This resource guide is a compilation of four resources for teaching physics through an anti-racist lens including:

  • A lesson plan on the Noble Prize in Physics and potential biases in the structure of the Prize committee and process

  • A statement from U.S. physicists in support of affirmative action in physics education that can be used to spark student discussion on racism in physics

  • Resources from the Native Drum website that teach physics concepts through First Nations Indigenous culture and music

  • A student-led webinar that introduces STEM teachers to the need for anti-racist STEM education.
