This mini curriculum unit contains three weeks of lessons with book links, read-alouds and classroom activities. At the end of this unit, students will understand that everybody is important and has the right to be safe and happy, no matter what religion they are, where they are from, how much money they have, or who they love. Topics explored include celebration of self-identity, different types of families outside of the patriarchal structures, and the affirmation of queer identities.
