This compilation of resources is for middle-school educators teaching the concept of freedom in U.S. History.
Two sub-folders of this Google Drive are dedicated to the individuals Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman. Overall, the resources have been curated to highlight everyday and collective acts of resistance in the movement towards abolishing slavery.
All materials are accessible to and adapted for a virtual classroom and can be easily translated into in-person materials.
