Black & Latinx Studies: “Language, Life, and Legacy”

Curriculum Unit. By Dr. Kelly Hope. Suggestions for including African American. African diaspora and Latinx experiences, literature and history in the high school classroom. Students will learn to identify themes in a text and provide analysis through various lens.

This curriculum unit is authored by Dr. Kelly Hope and has been distributed to participant in ARTLC’s March 23, 3031 webinar “Teaching Black & Latinx Studies in CT.” Individual educators are welcome to use the resources, lessons, and frameworks in their classrooms. School districts and other institutions interested in adopting this content should contact Dr. Hope for permission.
